New Partnership with percuss.io

The Battalion has forged a new partnership with interactive percussion education platform percuss.io to better serve its corps members and engage with fans.

The percuss.io platform synchronizes on-demand video with inline music notation. Users can choose any starting point, loop chunks, and slow down video without changing pitch. Whether it's corps members practicing between camps, or a WGI fan learning the music of their favorite ensembles, this new software provides a new level of interactivity for the percussion community.

“percuss.io is going to change the way percussion students learn new music and interact with artists," said percuss.io founder Eric Carraway. "Our web-based percussion education platform is putting the power of interactive practice in the hands of the learner, literally. Students and fans can access percuss.io web-based content on any device, anywhere.”

“This new partnership furthers our ability to provide a world-class experience for our membership,” said The Battalion Executive Director Dallin Hatch. “percuss.io gives our education team another way to enhance the learning experience. We’re also excited to utilize the platform to engage on a deeper level with our fans. For years, there’s been a growing trend in the activity to transcribe, learn, and share segments of pieces, warmups, and shows. This technology capitalizes on that trend and creates a new interactive medium that we’re excited to provide for our fans.”

Ensembles and artists interested in utilizing percuss.io can email info@percuss.io for more information, or create an account for free at percuss.io.
