New Partnership With UVU Green Man Group

The Battalion is excited to announce the addition of Utah Valley University’s Green Man Group to its growing family of partners.

This partnership promises full-tuition scholarships at Utah Valley University for any Battalion Drumline veteran who completes at least one season with the corps and then joins UVU’s Green Man Group.

“Having seen and interacted with The Battalion organization, we know the corps members are very capable and talented. They represent the performance and leadership strengths we value, and we are confident that they will be strong additions to our program,” said GMG Director Kenton Nielson.

Green Man Group is part of the UVU Spirit Squad, providing entertainment and energy at a bevy of athletic and corporate events throughout the state of Utah, including serving as the official drumline of the Utah Jazz.

Located in Orem, Utah, UVU is the fastest-growing and largest university in the state, with nearly 35,000 students. The university currently offers 58 bachelor’s degrees, 66 associate degrees, 21 certificate/diploma programs, and 8 high-demand master’s degrees in education, business, nursing, accountancy, computer science, cybersecurity, public service, and social work.

“This partnership helps us provide even more opportunities for our members to perform and achieve excellence outside of our organization,” said Dallin Hatch, executive director of The Battalion. “We’re grateful to Utah Valley University for providing this kind of engaged learning for our corps veterans.”

GMG auditions are open to everyone and will occur on Friday, April 28 at 7:00 pm in the UVU Grand Ballroom. Interested parties can register here - http://bit.ly/2nEnEWZ
