BEX Clinics give students an opportunity to experience drum corps first hand and learn what they need to work on to prepare for the audition process, whether you plan on auditioning for the upcoming season or in the future. You will meet and learn from our world-class staff and receive feedback to help you grow as a performer. You will also learn what is expected of a member of The Battalion. BEX Auditions take that experience one step further, as students begin the process of earning a spot as a member of The Battalion for the 2022 season.

Clinics will be held on Fridays from 6:00 - 10:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, we will feed you lunch and dinner on Saturday. Instructional blocks will include full ensemble, sectionals, and one-on-one time with instructors. Students will work on the packet for their section as well as an ensemble to perform together. Once you reserve your spot by registering and paying for the event, you will receive your music packet and a link to join our 2022 Facebook membership interest page, which will allow you to get to know other students and stay in touch during these events.

In an effort to keep everyone involved during our clinics healthy, we are requiring that participants and staff at these events present a negative COVID test administered within 72 hours of the camp prior to participation, regardless of vaccination status. If you have questions. please email us at Masks and social distancing will also be required for participation.

The audition is where students will be able to demonstrate what you have been working on throughout the clinics. Everyone is invited to participate in these events regardless of if you plan to audition for the corps.

We welcome all skill levels to come and learn at our clinics and auditions. Attending a BEX event is a great way to experience drum corps and gain insight into what this activity is all about. Our incredible staff will help you through it.

There will be plenty of students who are nervous about being a part of something where the performance expectations are high. Everyone has to start somewhere and sometime. This is a learning experience and we want you all to have a great time experiencing the magic of drum corps first hand.

During the one on one instruction, each student will receive feedback from one of our staff members with meaningful suggestions for improvement. Everyone will leave with something they need to work on to prepare them for the next event.

You’ll learn a lot about drum corps, receive great instruction, and make new friends.
