Board of Directors Interest Form

The Battalion Drum & Bugle Corps is looking to expand its board of directors as it enters its next phase of growth! Ready to roll up your sleeves alongside us to grow drum corps in Utah?

Our board of directors is an active one, with a membership that contributes their time, expertise, and professional network to chip in wherever they can to make the biggest impact.

 

We’re united in creating incredible experiences for our members and audiences while using the vehicle of drum corps to forge the next generation of leaders in our community.

We’re looking for people from all walks of life who are eager and able to make a big impact. 

 

Desired skillsets and backgrounds for board members include (but are not limited to):

  • Event production

  • Education

  • Philanthropy/non-profit management

  • Community building/organizing

  • Marketing or sales

  • Electrical or automotive repair

  • Culinary arts

  • Technology (AI, software development, product development)

  • Video and media production

  • Healthcare

  • Legal

  • Accounting/finance/payroll

  • Customer service

  • Human resources

  • Volunteer coordination

  • Content creation & writing (web copy, social content creation, grant writing)

Board members are elected to 3-year terms and the time commitment between meetings, committee work, and support projects is roughly 10 hours per month.

​

“Do I need to have marched?” - Nope! Just a desire to support the arts and the development of young adults in our community.

​

“What do I need to be successful?” - Ingenuity, camaraderie, a solutions-oriented mindset, and skills and/or connections to propel The Battalion ONWARD!

“Do I need to live in Utah?” - No! Our board members make an impact from all over the country.
