Joshua Hendley

BOARD MEMBER

As a Utah native, Joshua became passionate about the marching arts at a young age. He is an alumni of The Battalion and has performed with a number of independent ensembles throughout Utah, including South County Percussion, Gold Spike Percussion, and Utah Valley University's Green Man Group. Based in Springville, Utah, he has taught at marching ensembles across the state, including Brighton High School, Timpview High School, Provo High School, and Lehi High School. He also served on The Battalion's administrative team for two summers.

Joshua is a co-founder and current ensemble director of Horizon Percussion, the independent A indoor percussion ensemble based in Provo, Utah. With his guidance, Horizon has grown from a successful local group to a nationally recognized ensemble. Horizon Percussion has won two IMPA championships, has been a WGI virtual finalist, and is a two time WGI Power West Regional Champion.

Joshua graduated with a degree in Communication and Business from Utah Valley University, and professionally works in the mental health field as a client budget specialist. In his spare time he enjoys playing board games, spending time with family, and singing in his local community choir. He also really loves bread.
