Aaron Sanborn

BOARD MEMBER

Aaron Sanborn joined the Battalion Board of Directors in 2023. With a father in the Air Force, Aaron moved from Illinois, to Colorado, and eventually ended up in Last Vegas. It was there, in 2001, that he was introduced to the marching arts, as a freshman in high school.

He performed in jazz, symphonic, and marching bands throughout high school, in addition to performing in multiple Solo & Ensemble competitions and as a member of the Clark County Honor Band. In 2008, Aaron came to Utah to attend Brigham Young University and marched in the Cougar Drumline for five years (2008, 2009-2012). After graduating, he took a year off, before coming back to teach the Cougar Drumline for two years (2013-2014), while completing his Master of Public Administration degree at BYU.

Aaron then worked for Eagle Mountain City for nearly a decade, with most of that time serving as the Economic Development Director. In that role, he served on the Lehi Area Chamber of Commerce Board and then was instrumental in creating the Eagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce (now the Valley Crossroads Chamber of Commerce). He helped serve the community by strengthening local businesses and helping to support new business development. Currently, Aaron is a municipal consultant for Zions Public Finance, Inc. (a subsidiary of Zions Bancorporation) where he advises municipal clients on best practices to support their communities, and has the opportunity to work with local governments and private developers all along the Intermountain West.

Aaron, and his wife AnnaLee, live in Provo with their four children. They love Utah's outdoors from the snow-capped peaks of the Wasatch Range, to the desert national parks of Southern Utah.
