VICTORIA HARKER - BRASS INSTRUCTOR

Victoria Harker has been involved in the marching arts for more than a decade as a performer and instructor. Originally from Rockwall, Texas, Victoria got her start as a member of the Rockwall High School Marching Band before moving to Utah to attend college.

Victoria was a member of The Battalion’s inaugural season in 2016 where she served as assistant horn sergeant and mellophone section leader and was a featured soloist. After serving as a missionary for her church in Minnesota and Wisconsin, Victoria returned to The Battalion in 2018 where she served as a crew leader and was once again a featured soloist. In 2019, Victoria finished her drum corps performing career aging out on mellophone as a member of the Blue Stars from LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Victoria began her instructional career at Westlake High School in Saratoga Springs, Utah in 2016, working with the mellophone section and French horn soloists. In 2018 she moved to Farmington High School in Farmington, Utah where she served as a member of the brass and visual staff for the marching band for three seasons and led the visual program for the indoor drumline for two seasons.

Victoria is currently a music education major at the University of Utah where she is a section leader for the Marching Utes and a member of the Wind Ensemble; she also previously studied horn performance at Brigham Young University where she was a member of the Cougar Marching Band and performed with the Symphonic Band. She currently resides in North Salt Lake, Utah with her husband Jake (also a member of the 2018 Battalion) and their two dogs Moose and Echo. Victoria is excited to bring her passion for the marching arts home to The Battalion!
