KATHERINE STEINACKER - CORPS DIRECTOR

Katherine Steinacker is from Gilbert, AZ where she fell in love with marching band. She marched clarinet and served as drum major in both high school and at Brigham Young University. Throughout her education she participated in many music ensembles and graduated with a bachelors degree in Communication Disorders from BYU. 

Katherine joined The Battalion family as the Volunteer Coordinator in 2016 and served as theTour Manager in 2017. In the fall of 2017 she was asked to be the Corps Director. She was awarded the Dr. David Kampschroer Leadership Award in both the 2019 and 2022 seasons. 

Before taking on the Corps Director position full time, she worked with kids who have special needs and for various non-profit organizations in Salt Lake City. When she isn't doing drum corps she enjoys playing her clarinet with the Salt Lake Symphonic Winds, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
