JENNIFER ESSARY- BRASS INSTRUCTOR

Jennifer Essary is a Texas native with over 15 years of teaching experience in marching band,
concert band, and private lessons. As a public school band director, her bands consistently
earned Superior ratings at Texas UIL contests as well as placed many students in regional
honor ensembles. She is an alumna of the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps and a current
member of the Temple (Texas) Symphony Orchestra. She maintains a private horn studio of
around 30 students and is an active freelance performer in the Central Texas area.

Jennifer is married to Josh and they have two elementary-aged children. She is on the board of
directors of a local homeless ministry and her hobbies include reading, growing plants,
Broadway musicals, and running her online Fair Trade shop, Hickory and Elm.
