HALLIE SCHIELD- FRONT ENSEMBLE INSTRUCTOR

Hallie Schield is a young and outgoing educator and performer based in Boulder, Colorado. She has been involved with The Battalion as a front ensemble instructor since the summer of 2019 and is currently teaching at Rise Percussion (Denver, Colorado) and Rodger Quist Middle School (Thornton, Colorado) as well as private lesson students in the Northern Colorado area. Before Battalion, Hallie was a member of the Casper Troopers front ensemble from 2014-2018 under the direction of Lauren Teel and participated in the 2017 Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Colin Spear. Throughout college, she taught at a variety of high schools and independent groups, hoping to inspire others through music the way it originally inspired her. Along with teaching, Hallie has performed with groups such as the Boulder Symphony and the Arapahoe Philharmonic along with being a freelance musician performing mainly duets and chamber pieces.

Hallie graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with her Bachelor’s Degrees in Music Education and Music Performance with an emphasis in percussion. At UNC, she studied with renowned musicians such as Michael Truesdell, Gray Barrier, Michael Van Wirt, Ken Singleton, and many more.
