Qualified Charitable distributions (qcds)

If you’re 70½ or older, you can give directly from your IRA to The Battalion in a tax‑smart way. A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) lets you donate up to $100,000 without it counting as taxable income. It’s especially helpful if you have required minimum distributions, since your gift can count toward that requirement while supporting an organization you care about.

Grants from donor advised funds (Daf)

A Donor‑Advised Fund (DAF) works a lot like a charitable savings account. You can contribute cash or other assets, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to The Battalion when the timing feels right for you.
