Stacey Hutchings

BOARD MEMBER

Stacey Hutchings is a third-generation educator with a passion for innovation in education. She began her career teaching history and Spanish at Kearns Jr. High and Riverton High School before becoming a founding teacher at Utah Virtual Academy, where she later served as Head of School. Currently, she is the Director and Principal of Career Path High School, a blended, competency-based charter school located on the campus of Davis Technical College.


Hutchings was recently appointed by Governor Cox to the Utah State Charter School Board and is currently a member of the First Credential Executive Oversight Committee, a member of the USHE Concurrent Enrollment Steering Committee and the USBE Digital Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee. She was previously a member of theUtah State Board of Education and has served on several boards, including the Career Path High Board of Directors, the Utah Association of Public Charter Schools Board, and the Salt Lake County Library Board. She also served as a member and chair of the Kearns Town Council.


An alumna of the American Council of Young Political Leaders and recipient of the Presidential Service Award, Hutchings earned degrees from Brigham Young University, the University of Utah, and Western Governors University. She served a mission in Málaga, Spain, and lately enjoys time with her husband, Eric, cheering on their four children in synchronized figure skating and drum corps.
