Katie Lund

Katie Lund started volunteering for Battalion in 2021 working with the food truck. Her background as a lunch lady helped provide valuable experience for this monumental project and she has volunteered full or part time feeding the kids in every season since. She has been, aside from working in the school nutrition program, a stay at home mom perfecting her domestic engineering skills. Now that her kids are all adults, she is going back to school full time to pursue her Cosmetology license.
She loves music and is a choir kid herself and still enjoys playing the piano and singing in any choir she can fit into her schedule. She laments that she has never been involved in a band until her daughter joined the high school band and then the Battalion in 2021, but she loves to see how the kids get out there and do hard things and learn how to be a team and make something beautiful together. Needless to say, creating food and doing hair and makeup is where her heart is. She lives in Herriman, UT with her husband and 2 doggos who she spoils rotten.
