LIZZY TAYLOR - VISUAL INSTRUCTOR

Lizzy Taylor is currently a Visual Instructor at the Battalion Drum & Bugle Corps. She also works as the Assistant Band Director and Visual Caption Head at Mountain Ridge High School. In addition to working with the band at MRHS, Lizzy teaches Social Studies and Computer Science. Lizzy has been involved in the marching arts since 2010.

Lizzy's performance experience began in an elementary band. She quickly grew a love for all things music and sought every opportunity to further her passion. Lizzy graduated from Westlake High School after marching for five years in their program. She attended Utah State University where she participated in the band programs there. In 2015, Lizzy began instructing marching bands. She has worked with many different programs that have gone on to receive numerous awards as well as compete in BOA Super Regional Competitions and DCI World Championships.

Outside of Marching Band, Lizzy gained an associate's degree from Utah State University and received her bachelor's in Social Studies Secondary Education with a minor in Latin American Studies from Utah Valley University. She is currently attending the University of Utah to obtain a Master Degree in Information Systems.

 

Lizzy has a passion for learning and loves to help individuals create magical experiences with music.

Lizzy has been married to her husband Austin for 4 years. On the rare occasion that Lizzy has free time she loves paddle boarding, spending time with family, feeding baby ducks, and playing board games. (She owns over 100 games!)
