Andrew Allen has been involved in the percussive arts since the age of 10, when he started taking private lessons. Since then, he has developed a particular passion for the marching arts. He began his career at Loudoun County High School in Virginia, as a member of the battery section. However, his aptitude for mallet percussion eventually translated into a desire to be a part of a front ensemble section. Andrew’s front ensemble experience began with the Cadets2 Drum and Bugle Corps in 2013. After serving a two year church mission in Brazil, he was the front ensemble section leader for The Battalion’s inaugural 2016 season.

In addition to playing, Andrew is a very passionate and active educator in the marching community. He has served as the Arranger and Caption Head for the Loudoun County High School percussion section. Currently, he is an instructor at Westlake High School, and is a Co-Caption Head for the award-winning indoor group Impact Percussion.

The Battalion Drum & Bugle Corps, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts education organization.
